Founded and led by husband-and-wife duo Raquel Wolf-Jadeja and Chef Jay Jadeja, our catering division brings together over 20 years of bespoke wedding planning, banquet management, and restaurant ownership. While Chef Jay directs the culinary fire - drawing on classical European training, world travels, and authentic regional Indian masalas - Raquel orchestrates every timeline, rental, layout, and service cue with hands-on precision.

The Onion Tree Hospitality Group is guided by the shared vision and hands-on leadership of husband-and-wife partners Raquel Wolf-Jadeja and Chef Jay Jadeja. With over six decades of combined experience across restaurant ownership, banquet direction, luxury event management, and fine dining, the duo has built a reputation for creating dining rooms and event experiences defined by bold culinary conviction and genuine, soulful hospitality.
A native New Yorker born and raised in Queens, Raquel brings unmatched operational precision, warmth, and high-touch execution to the group. Having managed premier banquet facilities and high-profile Long Island venues since the age of 20, she directs company operations, business development, and serves as the driving force behind the group’s catering and private events division. Her hands-on philosophy ensures every wedding, estate gathering, and private milestone is executed with meticulous care.
Executive Chef Jay Jadeja brings a global culinary perspective honed across eight countries and territories - including hotel school in Switzerland, stints in kitchens across Europe and Australia, and deep subcontinental roots. Fluent in seven languages and driven by an insatiable curiosity for flavor, Jay marries European technique with regional Indian spices, celebrated for his award-winning Neapolitan pizza craftsmanship and genre-defying comfort food.
Together, Raquel and Jay have owned and operated multiple acclaimed dining concepts across New York City and Long Island since 2004, including WildFlower in Greenwich Village, West East Bistro, and their flagship, The Onion Tree in Sea Cliff. Across all their brands—from fast-casual street food to bespoke luxury catering—their philosophy remains unchanged: hospitality is not a transaction; it is a conscious choice to listen, connect, and welcome every guest like family.
